  1. About National Association of Building Contractors

The National Association of Building Contractors (“NABC”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a UK-based online comparison and lead generation platform that connects homeowners and property owners (“Homeowners”) with vetted local building contractors, tradespeople, and specialists (“Builders”).

NABC is not a construction company and does not carry out building work. We act solely as an intermediary — connecting Homeowners with Builders and facilitating quote requests. Any agreement for building work is strictly between the Homeowner and the Builder they choose to engage.

Legal entity: The National Association of Building Contractors is a trading name of NABC NETWORK (UK) LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales.   1. How Our Service Works

When a Homeowner submits a quote request through NABC, we share their contact details and project information with up to three Builders in our network who operate in the relevant area and specialise in the requested service. These Builders may then contact the Homeowner directly to discuss the project and provide quotations.

The service is always free for Homeowners.

  1. No Guarantee of Builder Quality or Outcome

We carry out checks before listing Builders on our platform, including verification of public liability insurance, trade qualifications, and customer feedback. NABC NETWORK (UK) LIMITED do not guarantee the quality, timing, compliance, or outcome of any work carried out by Builders introduced through our service.

Homeowners are responsible for independently verifying credentials, requesting written quotations, checking references, and entering into contracts with their chosen Builder. NABC NETWORK (UK) LIMITED accept no liability for disputes or for any loss, damage, or injury arising from building work.

  1. Your Obligations as a Homeowner

By submittingrequesting a quote request, you confirm that:

  • The information provided is accurate and complete
  • You are the property owner, an authorised tenant, or acting on behalf of the owner
  • You consent to your details being shared with up to three Builders
  • You agree to be contacted by phone, email, or SMS
  • Your enquiry is genuine and relates to real building work
  1. Builder Obligations

Builders listed on NABC agree to:

  • Hold valid public liability insurance at the time of joining
  • Possess relevant trade qualifications or memberships
  • Respond to enquiries promptly and professionally
  • Provide clear, accurate, and transparent quotations
  • Comply with all applicable UK building, health and safety, and consumer protection laws

Builders who fail to meet these standards may be removed from the platform.

  1. NABC Accreditation and Verification

NABC operates an internal accreditation and verification programme for Builders listed on the platform (“NABC Accreditation”).

NABC Accreditation indicates that a Builder has completed certain onboarding checks conducted by NABC NETWORK (UK) LIMITED when joining, which may include verification of identity, business details, public liability insurance, relevant experience or qualifications, and agreement to comply with NABC standards.

Accreditation is not a form of independent certification, third-party approval, or government-backed endorsement. It reflects only that the Builder has met NABC’s internal criteria at the time of assessment.

While we take reasonable steps to verify information provided by Builders, NABC NETWORK (UK) LIMITED do not guarantee the ongoing accuracy of that information, nor the quality, performance, or outcome of any work carried out.

Homeowners must carry out their own due diligence before selecting a Builder, including obtaining references, reviewing previous work, and securing written quotations.

NABC NETWORK (UK)   reserves the right to grant, refuse, suspend, or withdraw accreditation at its sole discretion.

  1. Platform Status and Membership

NETWORK (UK) LIMITED operates as a privately run trade association and digital platform operated by NABC NETWORK (UK) LIMITED, providing introductions between Homeowners and Builders.

Builders may be listed on the platform either as registered users or as NABC Accredited members, depending on their status within our internal verification and accreditation programme.

NABC is not a government body or statutory regulator, and membership or accreditation does not constitute official licensing or regulatory approval.

Any membership, accreditation, or status granted by NABC reflects compliance with our internal standards and criteria only and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of quality, workmanship, or performance.

Any reference to “network”, “association”, or similar terminology reflects branding only and does not indicate formal membership status, governance, or oversight comparable to recognised industry bodies.

  1. No Warranty

The NABC platform and all content, information, and services provided by NABC NETWORK (UK) LIMITED are offered on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NABC NETWORK (UK) LIMITED make no representations or warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including (but not limited to):

  • The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any information on the platform
  • The availability, performance, or uninterrupted operation of the website
  • The suitability of any Builder for a particular project
  • That the platform will meet your specific requirements or expectations

Use of the platform is at your own risk.

  1. Lead Accuracy and Availability

NABC does not guarantee that:

  • Homeowners will receive any responses, quotes, or contact from Builders
  • Builders will receive a minimum number of leads or enquiries
  • Any lead or enquiry is accurate, complete, or genuine
  • A submitted enquiry will result in a contract or completed work

While we take reasonable steps to maintain the quality of enquiries and Builders on the platform, NABC NETWORK (UK) LIMITED accepts no responsibility for incorrect information, non-responses, cancelled projects, or unsuccessful outcomes.

  1. Right to Suspend or Remove Access

NABC NETWORK (UK) LIMITED reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend, restrict, or permanently remove access to the platform for any user or Builder, without notice, where:

  • These Terms & Conditions are breached
  • False, misleading, or inappropriate information is provided
  • There is suspected fraud, abuse, or misuse of the platform
  • Conduct may harm the reputation, operation, or users of the platform

We also reserve the right to remove or refuse to publish any content, listing, or enquiry at our discretion.

  1. Quotes and Contracts

All quotations are provided directly by Builders and form part of an agreement between the Homeowner and the Builder. NABC NETWORK (UK) LIMITED is a party to any contract or agreement and does not review or guarantee quotations.

Homeowners should always obtain written, itemised quotes before proceeding. It is strongly recommended to obtain at least three quotes and to avoid paying in full before work is completed.

  1. Cost Guide Information

Any pricing information published on NABC is for general guidance only. It reflects typical ranges based on network data and does not constitute a formal quotation or guarantee. NABC NETWORK (UK) LIMITED accepts responsibility for reliance on this information.

Actual costs will vary depending on project scope, specification, location, and site conditions. Always obtain written quotes from qualified professionals before committing financially.

  1. Intellectual Property

All content on the NABC website — including text, images, design, code, and pricing data — is owned by or licensed to NABC NETWORK (UK) LIMITED. Content may not be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without prior written permission. Sharing links to pages is permitted.

  1. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither NABC NETWORK (UK) LIMITED shall be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use of the website or services, including work carried out by Builders.

Total liability of NABC NETWORK (UK) LIMITED in relation to any claim shall not exceed £100. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

  1. Data and Privacy

Use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using NABC, you consent to data collection and use as described. NABC NETWORK (UK) LIMITED acts as the data controller and complies with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

  1. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

  1. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any updates.
